About us

To do that, we need to invest in our team and bring new people into the business to support our existing customers and help us find new ones. 

The Account Manager role will put you at the forefront of our brand, proactively engaging with existing and potential customers to highlight how we can make their lives easier and support them to get the most out of their products and services.

An interest in technology and print applications will make this role more rewarding as you’ll be able to understand changes as they come and help our customers do the same.

We are looking for people with a proactive outlook, excellent communication skills, a drive to win business, and the motivation to go and get it. 

About you

  • First and foremost, you will enjoy talking to people, whether face-to-face or on the phone/over video call, and building relationships with new people.
  • That means excellent verbal communication skills and the confidence to call people or walk into a networking event to represent the company.
  • You will be resourceful, tenacious and use your initiative to do your best for existing customers and persuade future customers to give us a try.
  • You will be professional and engaging, able to empathise, and great at listening to what your customers need.
  • We need you to be self-motivated and ambitious, able to keep up with technological changes to support even the largest businesses confidently. 
  • You will be a team player who is happy to get to know everyone and contribute to the business’ overall success.
  • You will be honest and uphold our values: trustworthy and knowledgeable.
 

Responsibilities

  • Managing allocated accounts and being a point of contact for associated queries, keeping in touch and being accessible.
  • Proactively looking for new business opportunities, potentially within your own territory. This will include online, phone and in-person prospecting.
  • Attending networking events and trade shows to meet new contacts, explain what we do and generate leads for our sales team. These may take place across Cambridge, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and beyond.
  • Using LinkedIn to share content, make connections and build pipelines.
 

Location

First Copy is based in Bottisham, Cambridgeshire (CB25 9BB). We have a flexible/hybrid working environment.

Working hours

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About us

To do that, we need to invest in our team and bring new people into the business to support our existing customers and help us find new ones. 

This new role is part of our friendly marketing team.

The successful applicant will support our team across various channels, including print, social, and digital, as well as at events. Our new marketer will gain a breadth of experience alongside a Multi-Channel Marketer (Level 3) qualification from Cambridge Marketing College.

We are looking for someone with a with a proactive outlook and excellent communication skills, not a set number of years of experience or specific qualifications.

This is a varied apprenticeship role with the bonus of a qualification after twelve-eighteen months that could lead to a variety of different career paths within the business.

About you

  • You will be a great communicator with a positive outlook.
  • You will have an interest in creative writing, design or both.
  • We need you to be self-motivated and organised.
  • You will be a team player who is happy to get to know everyone and contribute to the business overall success.

What to Expect

  • Practical experience in content planning, development, creation, management and evaluation using a variety of key platforms and software
  • Supporting the First Copy team with lots of different marketing projects, from video creation, copywriting and social posting to the management of a CRM, email and seasonal campaigns and event support
  • Blended learning from online study, tutorials and webinars with Cambridge Marketing College
  • Experience working in a technology business and opportunities to attend industry events, work with partners and learn about how our business works

Responsibilities

  • Help us to deliver creative content across our digital and printed channels
  • Support us in managing a variety of marketing projects across the web, print, email, CRM and events
  • Create digital and print artwork, assets and templates alongside our design lead
  • Support outbound marketing projects, e.g. mailouts, calls and eshots, alongside our customer experience lead
  • Learn about web content and SEO to make timely website additions and updates alongside our marketing manager
  • Take on specific tasks to support discrete campaigns and events
  • Contribute to ongoing evaluation and strategy as part of the wider marketing team and business
  • Support the wider team by sometimes helping to answer the phones

Location

First Copy is based in Bottisham, Cambridgeshire (CB25 9BB). We have a flexible/hybrid working environment and anticipate that you will be in the office at least three out of five days a week.
