Meet Rex_Machina!

Rex_Machina, created by artist Tim Sutcliffe, is now on Orford Hill! He’s sponsored by FCC Innovation and First Copy. (FCC Innovation was our brand for office print and technology before 2023).

The #GoGoDiscover trail runs from 27 June – 10 September 2022. This year, it includes 55 T. rexes!

In 2021, the first 21 individually designed T. rex arrived in Norwich, leading to Dippy the Diplodocus at Norwich Cathedral. Excitingly, these first 21 dinos have returned this summer, supported by many new friends (including the First Copy tyrannosaurus!).

What’s more, the trail will expand outside Norwich and across Norfolk with the addition of Steppe Mammoths! There are also more than 100 smaller Breakasaurus sculptures created by schools and community groups.

The trail is coordinated by Wild In Art, and will raise money for children’s charity Break. There is an official trail app to ‘unlock’ each sculpture and earn rewards. There is even a sticker book this year.

Learn more in our FAQs below.

Last year, we sponsored Honey, a Cow About Cambridge. We loved being part of the trail so much that this year we’re back – in Norwich!

Break does absolutely amazing work with children in and on the edge of care, and we have been honoured to work with them this past three years.

COmpanies are invited to sponsor a sculpture many months before a new trail goes live.

When we had confirmed our sponsorship, two team members attended the art selection at Roarr Dinosaur Park. Shortly thereafter, we were delighted to hear that our number one choice had been allocated, created by artist Tim Sutcliffe.

Our marketing team met Rex_Machina in his secret accommodation a couple of weeks before the trail, and now he’s ready to meet you!

Yes! At the end of the trail, most of the T. rex and mammoths will be auctioned off to raise money for Break. You can attend the auction or bid from home. Register your interest to bid on the sculptures now.
