Stringent information technology security standard certification from the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) has been achieved by Xerox AltaLink devices. AltaLink devices are the first multifunction printers (MFPs) in the industry to be certified under the new testing standards.
AltaLink devices received NIAP certification against the most recent Common Criteria, based on security requirements specified by key global government agencies. Testing is done by independent labs and includes tough criteria for cryptography, authentication and security protocols. The results are a great endorsement for SMEs, large enterprises and public bodies using AltaLink devices.
The results mean that AltaLink devices have world-class, built-in, security protection – keeping critical business and personal data safe. This is especially encouraging with the prospect of GDPR on the horizon.
There are ten MFPs in the AltaLink series, all enabled with Xerox ConnectKey technology. The series is designed for enterprises of all sizes with medium to large workgroups. ConnectKey helps connect workplaces with smart technology, allowing print devices to evolve with today’s busy marketplace. ConnectKey brings mobile and cloud connectivity, as well as a myriad of of apps to help you work quickly and efficiently.
Xerox’s multi-layered security solutions cover four key attributes:

- Document and data detection
- External partnerships (eg McAfee whitelisting)
All AltaLink devices therefore offer prevention, detection, protection and reporting.
